Conference “Money, Media and Elections”

The Metamorfosis Foundation organized an event “Money, Media and Elections” which took place on October 28-29, 2024, starting at 10 a.m. in the Millennium I hall at the Holiday Inn Hotel, Skopje. This two-day event brought together experts, politicians and civil society representatives to explore the interaction between money, media and politics in the electoral process. Key topics addressed are the challenges of paid political advertisements, the monitoring of internet portals during election campaigns and the comparison of political financing practices in an election campaign with European standards. The participants received valuable information about the portrayal of women and gender equality on internet portals, as well as the role of social inclusion in the election campaign. Participants had the opportunity to participate in sessions on topics related to internet portals during an election campaign such as paid political ads, monitoring and gender and social inclusion in elections. This conference is funded by the British Embassy in Skopje. NEXT-EM dooel also had its presence.
