Closing Conference – Women in the Workplace

The final conference Women in the Workplace – The Right to Decent Work, organized by the National Platform for Women’s Entrepreneurship and the Foundation for Management and Industrial Research, was held on December 5, 2024 (Thursday) at the Holiday Inn Hotel, Skopje. The event began with welcoming speeches by Hakim Suma – State Secretary at the Ministry of Economy and Labor, Valentina Disoska – President of the Association of Business Women and Gabriela Kostovska Bogoeska – Executive Director of the Foundation for Management and Industrial Research. The event included a presentation of project activities and results, presented by Emilija Andonova – Project Manager at the Foundation for Management and Industrial Research, who shared the activities and results of the project “Decent Work for Women Workers – Social Participation and Empowerment” so far. Immediately after the presentation of the activities, the Declaration on Decent Work and Gender Equality in Social Dialogue – a key step towards promoting inclusive and fair workplaces – was promoted and signed by all stakeholders. This was followed by two panel discussions, namely Panel 1: Women Workers and the Right to Decent Work – Challenges and Solutions and Panel 2: Institutional Support – Key to Achieving Decent Work for All. After each panel, there was an exhaustive discussion on all given topics. NEXT-EM dooel also actively participated in the event.
