Privacy Protection in the Digital Era

The Internet and Society Foundation, Metamorfosis, organized the conference “Protection of privacy in the digital era: in search of common solutions” with the support of the European Union, within the project “Technical and integrated protection of personal data – building an inclusive digital ecosystem”, implemented from the Metamorphosis Foundation and Connect Association, which took place on October 19, 2023. in Hotel Arka in Skopje starting at 10 am, with NEXT-EM dooel also present. The conference was opened by Azir Aliu, Minister of Information Society and Administration, Maria Kanellopoulou, First Counselor in the Delegation of the European Union, Leonora Kadriyi, Secretary General of the Personal Data Protection Agency, Bardil Jashari, Executive Director of the Metamorphosis Foundation, who opened the conference with their welcoming speeches. and Nikica Kusinikova, executive director of Connect Association. The participants of the conference had the opportunity to discuss and learn more about the protection of digital rights and the activities of various stakeholders aimed at greater promotion and development of capacities for the protection of privacy and other human rights on the Internet. In addition, the experiences of the personal data protection officers who were part of the project activities were shared at the conference. The conference is the final event of the project “Technical and integrated protection of personal data – building an inclusive digital ecosystem”, implemented by the Metamorphosis Foundation and Connect Association, with financial support from the European Union.
