The Center for Research and Policy Making (CRPM) in cooperation with the partner organizations from BiH - Center for the Promotion of Civil Society (CPCD) and Albania - Institute for Democracy and Mediation, with the support of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Kingdom of Norway organized a National Conference to Promote the project SMART Balkans - Civil Society for a Connected Western Balkans, which took place on 22.06.2022 starting at 11.00 in Hotel DoubleTree by Hilton Skopje.

The goals of the project, the possibilities for financing 450 grants in the entire region were presented at the conference, and the current situation in the sectors of security and stability and good governance in our country and in the region was discussed. Introductory speeches were given by Ms. Marija Risteska, Executive Director of CRPM, as well as a representative from the European Union and the Norwegian Ambassador. There were two panel discussions, the first on the Perspective of Stability and Security in the Western Balkans, and the second on Good Governance and European Integration in the Western Balkans: an analysis of the situation and the role of civil society organizations. At the panel discussions, experts in the given fields presented their opinions and at the end there was a presentation of the project and the grant scheme. NEKST-EM dooel also had its presence.
