Mechanisms for the elimination of the gray economy
In order to actively involve the business community in strategic economic policies and national legislation, USAID’s “Partnership for Better Business Regulation” project, implemented by the four key partners: Economic Chamber of Macedonia; Economic Chamber of Information and Communication Technologies – MASIT, Economic Chamber of North-West Macedonia and Association of Economic Chambers of Macedonia, organized a Forum on the topic: “Mechanisms for elimination of gray economy, implementation and expected results” held on May 16, 2019. at Hotel Aleksandar Palace in Skopje starting at 11 am.
The purpose of the event was to include all relevant stakeholders in the process of reducing the gray economy and discussing the identification of proposals, ways and mechanisms that will reduce the gray economy and create a favorable business environment for the companies. The forum was intended for all micro, small and medium-sized enterprises in the direction of their involvement in drafting proposals, measures and conclusions for struggle against the gray economy, and all concrete proposals and conclusions will be defined and submitted to the competent institutions. At the high level, Government representatives, domestic and foreign experts, professors and prominent businessmen discussed the biggest challenges of the companies in the fight against the gray economy, concrete solutions for its suppression as well as the expected effects on the economy and economy from the introduction of unregistered entities in the system.
