First National Summit – National Platform for Women Entrepreneurship

The First Annual Summit for Women Entrepreneurship, held on November 18-19, 2021. at the Alexander Palace Hotel, Skopje, was organized by the National Platform for Women Entrepreneurship. Fatmir Betiqi, Deputy Prime Minister in charge of Economic Affairs, Coordination of Economic Resources and Investments, Kreshnik Bekteshi, Minister of Economy, Julian Vassallo, Deputy Head of the Delegation of the delegation spoke at the opening ceremony of the Summit, which was attended by over 100 entrepreneurs from the country. On the first day of the Annual Summit for Women Entrepreneurship, Awards for the most successful entrepreneurs in small and medium companies were awarded for the first time under the institutional auspices of the Ministry of Economy. During the day, two panel discussions were held with the participation of eminent personalities from the country and abroad, including the Executive Director Gabriela Kostovska Bogoeska of the Foundation for Management and Industrial Research, and B2B meetings were held between women entrepreneurs who are an important factor. in networking and the impetus for the development of the business world of women. On the second day of the First Summit, in the Third Panel discussion on the topic: “Programs and instruments for financing women entrepreneurship” panelists were: Tanja Ilijevska, Head of the Sector for Strategic Planning, Analysis and Private Sector Support Programs in the Fund for Innovation and Technological Development, Jumin Ademi, State Advisor for Entrepreneurship and Competitiveness of Small and Medium Enterprises in the Ministry of Economy, Goce Georgievski, Head of Rural Development Department at the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Water Economy, Maja Stolevska-Kostadinovsk, Regional Coordinator of the International Council for the Western Balkans at the EBRD and Igor Andreev, Accelerator, Director of the Vardar Regional Research Center. On the second day of the Summit there were useful workshops on financial management whose trainer was Goran Zafirovski, as well as Igor Madzov, trainer for Startup companies, access to finance, key topics of interest for entrepreneurs.
