6. Macedonian-German Forum

The Konrad Adenauer Foundation in cooperation with AHK Nordmazedonien and the Institute for Democracy ‘Societas Civilis’ Skopje organized the 6 th Macedonian-German forum “The European economy under stress after the Russian invasion of Ukraine”. The forum was held on November 2, 2022, (Wednesday) at the Ragusa 360 Rooftop Restaurant, Skopje.

The purpose of this forum was to give an overview of the current economic situation, but also to offer proposals for the challenges facing the Macedonian and European economy. The event was opened by Daniel Braun, Official Representative of the Konrad Adenauer Foundation, Patrick Martens, Director of the Delegation of the German Economy in Macedonia, Zoran Nechev, Head of the Department for EU Integration at the Institute for Democracy and H.E. Anke Holstein, Ambassador of FR Germany in Macedonia. At the panel discussion at the forum, Dieter Althaus, vice-president at Magna Europe in charge of government affairs, Chichevski as a replacement for Veliko Zhelev, Chairman of the Board of Directors at Hidrostroj AD, Tim Peter, adviser for competitiveness in Europe at the Konrad Adenauer Foundation, gave their opinion. Viktor Mizo, general director of Kostal, Pavlina Zdraveva, environmental expert and Johannes Heidecker, advisor in the cabinet of the Prime Minister of the Republic of Macedonia. The forum was moderated by Nikica Mojsoska Blazevski, Macedonia 2025, Chief Executive Officer. At the invitation of the Institute for Democracy “Societas Civilis”, NEXT-EM was also present.
